Who are we?
An International Parents Group supporting new families transitioning into Melbourne and Carey Baptist Grammar School.
 

CLOSA - Carey Local and Overseas Student Association

Membership
Open to all Carey parents but specifically aimed at:-

• Incoming international and interstate parents, and returnees to Melbourne from overseas postings
• Established parents who would like to join the group either as mentors or who have an interest in meeting and supporting transitioning families
• International student home stay providers/host families

Objectives

• To provide a friendly welcome and support group for the above Carey Parents
• To provide a range of social activities which reflect the diverse background and experiences of CLOSA Parents
• To establish a parent network for CLOSA parents - putting different nationalities in touch with one another
• To be an international parent resource group for the school
• To assist and promote cultural celebrations within Carey.(eg. Chinese New Year, International Womens' Day, Diwali, etc..)
