Playing a team sport is a great experience and players can learn valuable life skills such as selflessness along the way.  The team at Carey Softball aim to make your time in our program as rewarding as possible.

There are many opportunities in Softball at Carey.  Each player is assessed not only on her skill level but her support of team-mates, attitude to the game and overall demeanour.  With the right combination of these attributes the sky is the limit in what can be achieved!

In our program we aim to develop skills so that we can compete with the premier teams in the APS competition.  Winning games is our aim but this is not always possible.  Whatever the result, Carey softballers have and will represent the school with pride and in the best traditions of sportsmanship.

This year we are thrilled to have Amy Borbiro as our Junior softball co-ordinator.  Amy has represented Victoriaand Australiain national and international competitions and we are thrilled to have her as part of the program!  Development and participation is the key to our program with current and former State and Australian players available to assist all players from all year levels.  The Carey Softball program has also developed a training DVD which you should receive shortly.  It covers all of the basic and some more advanced skills for players of all abilities.  The learning of new skills is only a question or remote click away!
