meet the firsts:
Marisa Lai
Hi, my name’s Marisa and I play catcher and centre field. My interests are animation and design, art, sport (mostly hockey and softball) and cooking. Something interesting about me is that I make claymation (stop motion animation) films.
Lucy Tusan
Hello, I’m Lucy and I am in Year 10, Hickman. I have been playing softball at Carey since arriving in 2007 and was lucky to have a game with the firsts when I was in Year 7 - it was a good one down at Geelong! Softball is a great game but I also love playing hockey and waterpolo. Go Carey!
Hannah Wallace
Hi, I’m Hannah and I am in year 12. I’ve been playing softball since year 9 and this is my first year in the firsts. I enjoy playing music (clarinet) and hanging out with friends.
Lucy Maxwell
Having played in the seconds dubbed “second to none” last year I was very fortunate to be picked as part of this years firsts team. Playing 1st base and constantly receiving ubber fast throws from Lucy T. This year we have a fabulous team and are all working together. PS – Steph you know Heather rules (admit it).
Jess Reece
It’s my first year in the firsts. I’ve played softball for Carey for AGES. I play heaps of sport like basketball for school but club as well. I’m in year 11 doing IB. I love music, movies and chillaxing. We have two pretty sweet coaches this year (Heather and Steph).
Amy Prosser
Hi my name’s Amy and I’m in yr 11. This is my first year in the firsts; I play third base, pitcher and outfield. I started softball in grade 5 and this is the third season that I’ve played softball for Carey. I also love netball, waterpolo and music.
Phoebe Ulrick
Hey I’m Phoebe. This is my first year playing in the firsts. I’ve been playing softball for about 4 years and 1 year at club. I am in year 10 and I’m 14. I play heaps of sport, especially hockey. I love music, movies, my friends and life in general.
Anna Carrig
I’ve been climbing the ranks in softball until this year when I was lucky enough to be selected for the firsts. Other then softball my other passions are running, art and I have aspirations to travel next year. PS – Heather Rocks.
Natalie Chin
Hey, my name is Nat, and I started playing softball in yr 7. I’m in yr. 10 right now and this is my first year in the firsts and I’m loving it. I love hanging out with friends and SHOPPING! and watching movies and all that kind of stuff :)
Emily Bird
I'm Emily Bird but most people call me Birdie.
I started softball in year seven and have since then learnt a lot along the way.
This year I was lucky enough to be selected for the 1sts team and have enjoyed it a lot.
I like skiing, netball, softball, chocolate, shopping, friends and writing.
Megan Metcalfe
Hi, I’m Megan and I’ve been playing softball since grade five. My hobbies include dancing, reading, clarinet, sports (particularly softball and soccer), taekwondo, debating and spending time with my friends. Being part of the firsts this year has been great as it has given me an opportunity to improve my skills and play a fantastic team sport with good friends.
Shevaun Hayes
Hi I’m Shevaun (Shev) no. 4, this is my first year at Carey, I’ve been playing softball for 4 years at Knox and Waverly. My favourite things to do is hanging with friends, playing sport (hockey and softball) and cooking (the editor of this website is absolutely allowed to say that Shevaun makes the best rocky road and mint slice you would ever ever ever eat) I hope to have a great season of softball.
