Boat Club Fundraising
Years 9 & 10 Boat Renewal project - progress report
This project was launched at the Heads of the River dinner on 15th March 2008. We have been delighted with the response from the rowing community.
As a result of the support from several families, we have been able to order TWO new Regulation Four boats that will be launched at the 2009 Row Past on 15th February 2009!
We have been delighted with the response from the rowing community. We ask you to consider supporting our fundraising initiative with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) by making a donation to help speed up the renewal of the Junior boat fleet. Two great benefits for those donating to this ASF registered project are that donations will be spent directly on boats and, being fully tax deductible, donors can enjoy knowing that they are getting great value for money!
School funding is not available to meet these needs at present, and without this project the boats will continue to deteriorate, present ongoing maintenance problems, and be hard to manage on and off the water by rowers. Many of our competitors now provide light, modern boats. We appreciate the generosity of those in the rowing community to help us do the same for Carey junior rowers.
See the attached flyer 'Carey Boat Renewal Leaflet' in the "Handouts & Publications" section of this site, for all the details as well as the donation form on page 4.
Please continue to support this valuable project and assist with the update of our Junior fleet. Best wishes and many thanks for your current and future support.

If you are the first to arrive at a Regatta, it would be appreciated if you could collect the Carey marquee from the boat trailer and erect it in a suitable place or designated area on the river bank. You may need to muster help from other parents as they arrive (please don't ask rowers as they need to focus on their preparation).
Thank you
