Since The Gondoliers in 1985, Carey has had a rich history of musical theatre of the highest standard.
Shows have ranged from classics of musical comedy such as Pirates of Penzance (1987), to tap shows (42nd Street (1996, 2006)), to modern favourites such as Fame (2003) and even one original production, Sherwood (1994) authored by our own David Morgan and David Crawshaw.
The high standard of Carey productions has been recognised by numerous Music Theatre Guild of Victoria awards in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The 2009 production, Calamity Jane, was Carey's 25th consecutive annua musical. A great achievement by the school the the individuals involved.
