Game Day Schedule and Expectations

Carey Basketball games are played on Saturday mornings.  A set of fixtures will be provided by your coaches but are also contained in this booklet.  These fixtures are subject to change.  Players are required to attend the Friday Sports Meetings for confirmation of game details.

All players are expected to be at the venue 20 minutes before the start of the game.  All shoes, singlets etc. must be on and players ready to warm up. 

If you are unable to play due to illness or injury you must advise your coach at the Friday Sports Meeting or by phoning the appropriate number. 

Injured players should attend all games to support their team.

Bring a drink bottle and mouthguard.  All players must wear clean and appropriate attire when arriving and playing.

Team Managers

All teams require someone to act as team manager.  This person will be responsible for:

• Filling in names on the scoresheet before the game
• Rostering a parent to keep score each week
• Organising and distributing team list 
• Being a link between the coach and the parents
• Being a link between the team and the Committee
• Organising social events for parents
